I've got no problem with Linux on any computer, I'm just saying that it originated on PC based systems. In fact, I tried to convince the sysadmin to get some macs with Linux installed on them. That, of course, was after I asked about getting a lab or so of PCs. You know what the answer was? "There's no room in the budget." Ouch, that hurts. I'm told the middle school has a full lab of G3s, and the high school has somewhere around... about 20. No room, eh? Lies from another avid *mac* fan. Tsk, tsk. Maybe if she would have just said "I don't understand the glory of PCs," then I would have understood, but lying to cover it up? No, that's not the way.
A few things, elite d00dmeister. Linux didn't originate on a PC. Linus wrote it for workstations, transcribed later to PCs, went public with it, and the rest is history. But like all good computer things, it started with Unix workstations. : I don't use a pentium. I use a celeron. :) Boy, you're brave. I don't know ANYONE else who admits that. -EchoMirage
