: I'm sorry. I'm doing just fine with my home-built computer. :p

You home-built a Celeron? BWA HA HA. Why, you couldn't afford the extra $2.50 for the 350 MHz K6-2? Oh wait, the K6-2 is CHEAPER. And faster. But I bet you just couldn't resist those dancing Intel engineers, could you? Idiot.

: I do remember your friend freak saying that RedHat sucks (the following word eludes me at the moment). Maybe you and he should be duking it out. I've got no problem with Linux on any computer, I'm just saying that it originated on PC based systems. In fact, I tried to convince the sysadmin to get some macs with Linux installed on them. That, of course, was after I asked about getting a lab or so of PCs. You know what the answer was? "There's no room in the budget." Ouch, that hurts. I'm told the middle school has a full lab of G3s, and the high school has somewhere around... about 20. No room, eh? Lies from another avid *mac* fan. Tsk, tsk. Maybe if she would have just said "I don't understand the glory of PCs," then I would have understood, but lying to cover it up? No, that's not the way.

A few things, elite d00dmeister. Linux didn't originate on a PC. Linus wrote it for workstations, transcribed later to PCs, went public with it, and the rest is history. But like all good computer things, it started with Unix workstations.
As to understanding the "glory" of PCs, I guess I don't either. I use one, but it's not really glorious. Now, my UltraEnterprise 5000 server, on the otherhand

: I don't use a pentium. I use a celeron. :)

Boy, you're brave. I don't know ANYONE else who admits that.
