: I just got my new Power Macintosh G3 / 300Mhz and installed MkLinux as my "alternate" OS, and you know what I found? It supports and will run REDHAT LINUX on my PowerPC microprocessor, completely native -- no emulation. You once argued that you didn't like Macs because you like Redhat. Well, i guess it's time to toss the ol' pentium-chugger, eh?
: Power -=IS=- Macintosh.

Well, Power "is" Macintosh, I applaud you for dumping the MacOS, but I wish you'd learn some things about your "new" OS before you go off yelling about it. MkLinux is only so effective. To say that it runs without emulation is a facade, because RedHat is written specifically for PC hardware, not for Mac stuff, so in order to get it to run on a Mac, MkLinux has to transcribe hardware instructions into things that the Macs can read. And I STILL haven't figured out how the MkLinux people got around the Mac ROM problem (being as the new Macs, such as the iSore, err...iMac, partially base their ROMs on software). If anyone knows about this, mail me, eh?
