: This "bullshit," as you call it, is known as "the truth" to the rest of us.
Actuall, you have a few of your facts off. I'm a loyal PC user, but in the interest of fairness, you're wrong on a few things.

I didn't read the article, but I'm guessing it's probably on the Merced. The Merced isn't really going to be a full RISC chip, given Intel's current design blueprints. Most of the new chips now have a RISC core and a RISC-->CISC converter (most notably the AMD K6 line). But full RISC chips have never been around on the PC market, except in workstations (and you never run DOS or Windows on a workstation)
: No, it doesn't. Images: *.gif, *.jpg, *,htm, *.cgi, *.pl, etc. Those are not four letter.
My friend, hast thou ever heard of Unix? Unix doesn't use a digit.digit extension file system (not NFS, at least). It can use names like blah.blah.blah.blah if you want. *.gif came from CompuServe, *.jpg can also be used as *.jpeg on the Internet (look at a few web page sources for examples). *.htm, in my experience, is only used by "webmasters" that use Microshaft FrontPage. Any *REAL* web page designer uses *.html, and Win9x will read this. *.cgi is of Unix origin, CGI standing for Common Gateway Interface. And *.pl is also of Unix origin. Many Unix users use file "extensions" for matters of clarity, so it's not unusual to see "myscript.pl". But you never see ".txt". :P
: You have no idea what my computer is. You just don't want to admit that your precious G3 could ever be beaten. NEWS FLASH!! G3s are nothing compared to current PCs. True, they're not bad, but they've got a long way to go before they'll beat something like my comp.
As an experienced user/technician/administrator/whatever in PCs, Macs, and Unix boxen, I'd have to say you're dead wrong here. The G3 is in fact faster than any comparable PC, for reasons of RISC architecture. A 233 MHz G3 runs about the speed of a 300-333 MHz PC chip (Pentium or K6). The new 350 MHz G3's make even the forthcoming 500 MHz Pentium II's look silly. I'd run one, but I can't stand the Mac OS interface. But if I needed pure speed, I'd go for a G3 (if you want proof of this fact, look at the fact that Macs use software-based 3D rendering instead of hardware-based like PCs [in general]. Now, some Macs do use Voodoo-based boards, but in general, the PowerPC line is fast enough that it can do QuickDraw 3D stuff without hardware acceleration).
: Interesting how you replied to almost nothing I said. Could this be because your page is full of biased opinions and fabricated half-truths? I think so.
You equate simplicity with stupidity. How simple...I mean stupid...I mean simple...I mean...Heh.
